Online Education  &  Offline Education

What is Online Education? 

Online education refers to a method of learning that is conducted and managed through internet-based platforms. It needs the help of Smart mobile Phone, Laptop, Computer etc. 

What is Offline Education? 

Offline Education is a form of Education where Student needs to go in a classroom and attend a class face to face with the teacher. 

It is a traditional education system. 

1. Need of the hours 

As you all know that online education has become a need of the hour. It keeps social distancing. During lockdown in pandemic covid -19 we all realized the value of online education. 

Student teacher interaction 

According to me, in offline education there is face to face conversation between student and teacher due to a physical attendance. Students can solve any problem easily. 

2. Time flexibility & No travelling

We all know that in online class students don't have to travel anywhere. They can take class at home. It saves a lot of time.

The best environment of study & competition

In my opinion, in offline class students can talk or discuss their ideas with teachers and other students which is an essential part of learning. It increases competition feelings too.

3. Variety of programs and courses

In my point of view in online class students have a lot of option to choose an online educational program. They have the freedom to choose subjects and topics that match their interests with ease.

No health issues 

I think, in offline class there is no physical health issues. But in online class students have to sit in one place for long hours that's why they face many health issues like eye weakness, headaches, ear problems, obesity, laziness etc.

4. Comfort and Convenience

I completely disagree with this statement but in online education, students can attend the class from the comfort of their home. Student can study at their convenience. Especially it's good for physical handicap person. 

Extra - curricular activities & Make friends 

I believe that in offline education students can participate in extra curricular activities like sports, functions, stage performances, group discussions etc. They can make new friends also but in online class students feel boring and loneliness.

5. Availability Of Pre - recorded class

Sorry to interrupt you i consider that online education is much better than offline education because students can watch and understand the online class videos again and again. But it's not possible in offline class.

Discipline & Punctuality 

please allow me to speak. In offline class there is strict discipline and Punctuality. Students must obey their teacher. But it's not possible in online class.

6. No age barrier

You know that online classes are effective for all age groups. Please of any age can take online class at very easily. 

No other distraction 

In offline class there is no other distraction but in online class students may use social media for chatting like Facebook, insta, WhatsApp and playing video games during class.

7. No accidents & Spreading diseases

Online Education protects us from traffic accidents, infectious diseases,pollution and climate changes. Distance learning is possible by online class. 

No need to buy costly devices & Internet

In offline education students don't need to buy costly devices like smart mobile phones, Laptop, computer etc. There is no need for hi - fi Internet connection.

8. No Need to carry heavy bags

In online class students don't need to carry heavy bags here and there. They don't have to expense money on travelling.

No technology issues 

In offline class there is no technology issues like slow Internet connectivity, law battery, sound problem etc.

9. Reduced costs

Online Education has less fee cost than offline education. Many courses are available at cheap rate. 

Transparency in exam 

In offline class students are not able to cheat in exam. But in online class students can cheat easily in exam.

10 Advantages Of Offline Classes

1. Regular offline classes allow students to visit school and get the opportunity to interact with classmates and teachers. 

2. Offline Classes increase intersection between the students and classroom competition have been found to increase their learning, self - esteem and motivation. 

3. Offline education means teacher gets to know their student better. 

4. In offline classes Teacher pay attention to each student. The engagement between teachers and students is essential to the learning process.

5. Doubts and questions can be cleared easily in the offline mode of study. 

6. Offline studies provide a healthy competitive environment to the student. 

7. Homework is best about this mode of study that helps in developing peer pressure.

8. Offline classes give students to develop their creative abilities and practical approach.

9. Teacher can easily judge the performance of every student in the classroom. 

10. In this mode of study, we get facilitated with manual books and written notes

Disadvantages :-

1. Offline study offers limited flexibility due to its rigid daily class schedule.

2. Longer schedule of classes are sometimes much boring to attend. 

3. Students get less time for self - study due to time wastage in travelling for school. 

4. It is expensive to manage and bear the cost of offline studies. Transportation charges are also bear. 

5. Students get too dependent on the teacher. 

6. The school have to maintain infrastructure facilities in school that involve 

7. Students would not learn about advanced technology. 

8. The students, as well as teachers, have to miss classes if they can't attend school due to any constraints. 

9. The lectures given during the classes can't be repeated whenever required. 

10. Students might not find a competitive peer group and hence not feel not motivated enough. 

10 Advantages Of Online Classes :

1. Online classes are convenient. Students can record and share the content of the classes. 

2. Online classes provide flexibility. Students can study at any time and wherever they want. 

3. Online classes bring education at home. Parents also may look over the studies of the their children. 

4. Online classes can be efficient and productive. 

5. Online classes teach us to be self discipline. 

6. It saves time of the learner. 

7. During the pandemic period, online class is indeed a safe alternative to school education. 

8. It eliminates transport costs. It is affordable. 

9. No friends distractions and infrastructure required. 

10. It allows students to attend classes from any location. So, there is no need to travel. 

10 Disadvantages Of Online Classes

1. Nowadays, Internet packages are so costly. 

2. Only limited content is given on Internet. 

3. Not everyone can afford money for buy smartphones. 

4. The screen light irritates our eyes. 

5. Children are deprived of activities sports competition etc which are necessary for their development. 

6. There are many cities and villages with - out Internet facility so their students cannot take online classes. 

7. Practical work in physics, chemistry, biology etc is mandatory which is not possible through online learning or classes. 

8. The student teacher interaction is very limited. 

9. Classroom interaction is missing. 

10.  There is no clarity in online examination. 

Conclusion

In conclusion we can say that both online and offline education have merits and demerits. But it all depends to us that how we think about these educational systems.
